Therefore, I do have one question about the song which is simply: did those kids grow up to live happy lives? Granted, I recognize that this may just be paranoia on my part, but I really hope the industry didn't abuse them in any way. I just feel uncomfortable with kids being used as pawns in that way. I fully realize that it is meant to be symbolic. Nevertheless, this is just my opinion, and I realize that some people may disagree with me and accuse me of being "too sensitive". Nevertheless, if the song's message is to "let kids be kids" then I'd rather leave those particular kids out of it. I get it that this was a tragic time period, based on a tragic event in real life. I realize that not everyone will agree with me, but if I had kids, I would not let them be in such a place. However, I do feel a bit weird about the children mostly naked who are covered in silver paint. I am also fascinated by the real-life footage of the kids and the soldiers. Jlambo from United StatesI get that this song is about war, and how terrible that is.Brooklynn On Top from United Statesi did not know about two kids died the war was mean.Gloria from Spain I loveeeeeeee this song so much! I wish I could marry it!!!.Begs the question does the ends truly justify the means. Voice given to the unsung victims of conflict. Chris from UsaI remember this song as a benchmark of my generation. As long as you don't tell the what the lyrics mean. It is a great mix and I recommend it for kids. I loved the energy to this song as well as the somberness.
